So you've been thinking about adopting a pit bull?
Although having a pit bull type dog is not for everybody. Unfortunately, breed discrimination is common; you need to stay positive and educate people when they criticize your companion. Renters struggle with finding pit bull friendly housing and some home insurance carriers won't cover them. Because we know how challenging it can be to navigate people's biases and misconceptions, we ask that you fulfill these requirements in order to adopt one of our dogs:
Bella-Reed Pitbull Rescue (BRPBR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit pit bull rescue organization located in Southeastern, Pennsylvania. We are a small network of hardworking volunteers and foster homes dedicated to advocating for the most misunderstood breed in the world: The American Pit Bull Terrier. We are completely devoted to the positive promotion of the pit bull. While we work mainly out of the Philadelphia area, we network with rescue groups and other informative groups all over the world.
We do not have a brick and mortar location, AKA a kennel or a shelter. We rely solely on our foster homes to provide the love and care our dogs need until they find their forever home. If you are interested in fostering, please visit our "Foster" tab on our website at www.bellareedpbr.com/foster or send us an email for a foster application at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
