Since our inception in February of 2006 we have aided in freeing several thousand dogs from puppy mills. All of these dogs are currently in good foster care or in permanent homes. We sadly admit that 5 of the dogs that were freed in this time frame did not make it. Molly lived for 6 days only. She was too sick to be saved. I guess that is why the Amish man gave her up. Winston Churchill lived for only 10 days. A simple parvo shot would have saved this gentle giants life. The Amish man that gave him up couldn't justify spending $10.00 on this wonderful little man that licked my hand when I met him. Winston died at the age of 6 months. This should not have happened. Heaven Leigh died within hours of being rescued , Muffy died just a week after she was freed and beautiful little Angel died just 2 days after being rescued. Pa needs to get strict with the millers. We need to tell them that we aren't going to allow this type of inhumane treatment any longer.
Who We Are
We are a group of women dedicated to freeing dogs from puppy mills. More specifically the puppy mills of Pennsylvania. We take the older breeding dogs and the younger sick dogs that are no longer wanted by the millers and we bring them into our homes, provide them with good veterinary care, good nutrition and an environment where they are free to socialize and become part of a "normal" family. We take the dogs that the millers are going to kill. We do not "buy" dogs from the Pa puppy millers. We refuse to put money into the pockets of the millers.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption process is very strict. We require an excellent veterinary reference, several interviews and a home visit. We do not ship dogs via air.
We require that all of our dogs be microchipped and we do require a signed contract.
