Our Mission
We are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, placing, and  keeping deaf dogs in their forever homes through owner support and basic training.
Adoption Policy
Deaf dogs make the most wonderful pets! They are very devoted companions. Typically you find deafness in predominantly white dogs with pink skin and/or blue eyes. This is common in dog breeds with merle patterning, such as Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, Shelties, Great Danes (often called 'harlequin'), Dachshunds (often called 'dapple'), and Catahoulas, to name a few. Â Deafness is also found in the piebald gene pool, breeds such as Dalmatians, Boxers, and Pit Bulls.
Owners of deaf dogs need to work with their dogs a little differently than with a hearing dog. Primarily, you need to establish hand signals for obedience and reliable methods for getting your dog’s attention. You also need to work on desensitizing your dog to touch. Often you can work with deaf dogs much the same way as you work with hearing dogs.
