19850 Penny &19851 Winston!

19850 Penny &19851 Winston!

"Winston & Penny", 2 sweet cats from an eviction, have weathered hard times together and would like to stay together in a new loving home.

Both were originally rescued from a life on the streets by a compassionate person who lost her own home last May, forcing her to surrender 9 cats and a dog to the shelter. "Winston" (19851) an extroverted black cat and "Penny" (19850) a sweet but more reserved tabby calico are the last 2 at the shelter from this pet family. They share a cage in the lobby where "Winston" has taken on the role of official greeter. Both are altered, UTD on shots and about 5 years old.

Several months ago, "Penny" was almost adopted but seemed distressed to leave her brother behind. That kind of sibling loyalty deserves to be rewarded. An anonymous friend of "Winston" & "Penny" has offered to reimburse their shelter fees if a kind someone is willing to adopt them together. If interested, please contact Babylon Shelter.

Mission Statement

To balance the health, public safety, and welfare needs of the people and animals in the Town of Babylon; providing nourishment and a safe environment for stray, impounded, and owner surrendered animals; responsibly enforcing state laws and local ordinances; and finding new loving homes for homeless animals at our shelter.

Who We Are

The Town of Babylon covers 53 square miles and is serviced by 4 Animal Control Officers who enforce Article 7 of the Agriculture and Markets Law of New York State and the Local Laws and Ordinances of the Town of Babylon. In addition to the Animal Control Officers, there are 3 kennel attendants to care for the 3,600 animals which enter the shelter each year.
