We'll will be selling raffle tickets at our events for our Scenic Flight for 2 around WNY. Tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20. The winner will be able to fly around WNY during the fall and enjoy a beautiful view of the fall leaves from high in the sky. The 2 hour sight seeing/picture taking experience has been donated by our friend Pilot Matt Menegay. All proceeds will go towards vet bills, medical care for special needs dogs/puppies and helping our rescue dogs & puppies in need.
All donations will be made in memory of our furry friend Nemo as a part of Nemo's Network. Drawing will be held October 1, 2014.
Don't forget to also check out our Facebook page for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs/puppies. Plus we post updates on transports, dogs & events.
Donations are always appreciated, we accept:
dog food, used crates (in working condition), dog treats, food/water dishes, collars/leashes, old towels or blankets, tether/runner lines, pet/flea shampoo, and monetary donations
(for increasing vet bills and supplies)

OARWNY’s policy is to screen applicants for adoption. This includes:
Since we do home visits for each adoption, we cannot consider applicants from other states or countries, sorry but that is too far for our volunteers to drive.
We strive not only to find approved homes, but to match the home with the dog/pup. For example, if an applicant is approved and has a cat, but the dog that is applied for is not good with cats, we would not approve that match even if the home is a great home. We want to do everything possible to make sure each adoption is successful, and for the life of the dog/pup.
Effective October 2012:
The adoption fee is $200. If you choose to use one of our participating vets that would include the spay/neuter. If you decide to use your own vet for the spay/neuter then the cost of the procedure is the owner's responsibility and the adoption fee would remain $200. Once the spay/neuter is complete a copy of the certificate must be sent to Open Arms Rescue of WNY.
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or an application, please note if there is a certain dog/puppy you are interested in.
Open Arms Rescue of WNY is a small, grass roots type of rescue group. We are comprised of all volunteer, non-paid members who have all been involved in rescue for years. These members include a professional dog trainer, business owners, and loving foster families, all who share a common goal which is simply to save dogs and pups from either locally unwanted situations, or from dog pounds, and place them into loving forever homes. We are a non-profit organization funded solely on donations and fund raising, and we have our Federal 501c3 status as a non-profit organization.
OARWNY is a 100% pro spay/neuter rescue.
OARWNY does not have a shelter. All of the animals are fostered in homes with families till a forever home is found. There are fosters from Tonawanda, to Akron, to Rochester, so keep in mind that you may need to travel a bit to meet the dog/pup you are applying for.
