This is Sasha, she is a beautiful Blue Pit girl that does well with other dogs and is sweet and friendly with people. She is one year old and would make a great addition to a family familiar with the pit bull breed.

Opie Sadly passed away July 10th. He had struggled with illness all through his short life.
Opie I know you are at peace now.
your body no longer sore.
you've gone to stay with John now.
he'll cuddle you once more.
Although I know your time was up.
your work down here was done.
it doesn't stop my sadness.
when I call and you don't come.
Now your fight is over.
and you're with my John once more.
He's found a grassy meadow.
where you two can go explore.
And when the day is over
and you've seen all you can see.
please lay down next to my sweet John.
and keep him company.
In memory of Opie Hill May 11th 2007-July 10th 2009.
Who We Are
Hill Hounds Rescue & Animal Sanctuary Inc. is a 501(c)3 registered public charity
.Hill Hounds consists of a handful of families dedicated to rescuing animals
in order to give them more time to find their
forever home and in educating the general
public about the importance of spaying and
neutering .We strive to teach our dogs skills to
be good canine citizens and family members.
We are a foster based program. All the families
involved have children.other dogs,cats and a
few other critters too.My family consists of 7 dogs.
2 cats,
6 human children age 7- 17 yrs ,and a Hamster.
So you can be certain that our adoptable animals
have been socialized and exposed to a variety of
situations .As of September 2011 Hill Hounds Rescue has closed its doors to all admissions. The plan is to adopt out our remaining animals and then cease operations. This passed year has been an extremely hard one.The numbers of dogs being surrendered so out weighs the numbers being adopted and most of our foster homes are no longer taking our animals,so unfortunate as it is we can not continue operating.Thankyou to all our suporters over the years. It has been an interesting journey.
Our animals are all indoor family members. They
will not be adopted to homes who intend on keeping
them outside. All animals are spayed or neutered
prior to leaving us.
Call us for an application, Applications
will be processed as soon as they are received. Our
adoption fee is $200 for dogs,we no longer take in cats.References and a home visit are required.
