Dog Licenses

Dog Licenses are available at the Westfield Animal Shelter 178 Apremont Way Westfield. Massachusetts General Law (MGL) requires that all dogs over 6 months of age be licensed by April 1st of each year. Dog licenses are also a great means of identification and can be traced 24 hours a day 7 days a week by either Animal Control or the Police Department. License costs are $15.00 for dog that has been spayed or neutered, or $30.00 if they are not. Please bring proof of current rabies vaccine and proof of neutering or spaying with you when licensing your dog.

Per MGL Chapter 140 and the City of Westfield's ordinances, you must show proof of a current rabies vaccine and also a current city dog license to claim your dog.
