WORKING TOGETHER "Coming together is a Beginning"
"Keeping together is Progress" "Working together is Success" "For All And Every Animal"
WHO WE ARE
MHS was started on June 7th, 2004 with a handful of caring and supporting Volunteers that wanted to help reach out to homeless, neglected and abused animals. Our mission at Mass Humane Society is to help these sheltered animals in providing exceptional care and proper placement of adoptable companion animals. The MHS staff is dedicated, committed and tirelessly engaged, in assuring every animal is entrusted to our care.MHS has low-cost Spay/Neuter assistance and to broaden clinic participation and develop educational information on these important issues. MHS promotes and educates the humane way to handle the Feral Cat population by the means of (TNR) Trap-Neuter-Return, about the importance of animal welfare, and the co-existing with wildlife because of the depletion of their habitat and environment in Massachusetts and other states.
Massachusetts Humane Society, Inc. is a section 501 (c) 3, non-profit, tax-deductible, no-kill, Volunteer work Shelter, therefore, we do not receive any direct Town, City, State or Federal funding. MHS depends solely on monetary donations from their individual supporters, charitable foundations, fundraiser events and the dedicated Volunteers. Massachusetts Humane Society's biggest mission and goal became a REALITY on September 30th, 2006 - the MHS Animal Shelter opened. MHS is constantly and diligently helping and caring for animals in need.
Mass Humane Society is looking for donations to achieve many more missions and goals that will BRING PEOPLE AND PETS TOGETHER! Mass Humane Society is a short term and long term haven for all the animals that come to our Shelter. ** We Keep Until We Find **

BESSY'S PLACE Web Site: WWW.BESSYSPLACE.ORG (affiliate of Massachusetts Humane Society, Inc.)
Bessy's Place Cat Sanctuary affiliate of Massachusetts Humane Society Inc., is now searching for a place that will be a good fit for all the homeless/neglected FELINE- CATS.
Bessy's Place goal and mission is to ** OPEN ** up a Cat Sanctuary ** for senior cats and stray outside abandon cats! BPCS needs a home base for the Cat Sanctuary, and it does not have to be in the local area. If you are willing to help out and reach out -- Please do! The cats at the sanctuary need a place to live in comfort, peace, dignity and love. Thousands of cats are euthanized in Massachusetts - put to sleep just becasue of being a senior cat, or abandon cat. The "shelters" are extremely over crowded and can "no longer" take in homeless senior cats. THAT SAYS IT ALL **
If you can help in any way possible to make this happen for our FELINES -- please contact BPCS/ MHS @ 781-335-1300 - leave info on voice mail. or email us at: masshumane@aol.com. -- THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND SUPPORT!
