For information about helping us out you can visit our website or go directly to the site of the fundraiser- Www.teespring.com/halfwayhomerescue. It has just over 2 weeks left, so please donate today and get a great t-shirt for your effort! We need to reach our 30 t-shirts goal for it to go through--please help us help pets in need!!
For more information about adoptions or to get an application please visit our website at www.hwhanimalrescue.com.
We take great pride in finding good homes for our stray and abandoned companion pet friends. All pets available for adoption includes their spay or neuter, up-to-date shots; heartworm checked (dogs), Felv/FIV checked (cats), dewormed, vaccinated, have monthly flea/tick prevention and/or heartworm prevention (dogs).
When coming to adopt an animal please be sure to give you and your family enough time to get to know the pet you are interested in adopting. Also, bring identification (for the application).
Half Way Home Animal Rescue DOES NOT have a shelter, and all animals are awaiting their forever homes in loving foster care; by having pets in foster care, we are able to get a jump start on training, learn their unique personalities and ensure they are a perfect match for you!
All potential parents must fill out an adoption application, have a home inspection and a reference/veterinarian check. Therefore, no animal will be sent home with a potential 'parent' the same day as the request or of the adoption event. ** If you rent your home/apartment please be sure to have a copy of your lease stating that you are legally allowed to have a pet and also if there is a pet weight limit. Also be aware that in many cities and/or towns, there may be statutes stating that certain pets and/or breeds may not be allowed to renters (e.g.. pit bulls) so please call your local city hall to be sure of any laws.
Home Checks will only be performed on homes WITHIN a particular mileage radius or time rate of Orland Hills, IL (60462). We reserve the right to refuse adoptions/applications to those who are outside our radius for reasons, including but not limited to; time, available volunteers, gas prices, etc.
Our organizations wants what is in the best interest of the animal and we will select the adopters based on this criteria.
Our pets are HALF WAY HOME, but that isn't good enough - Together with the help from foster parents, we can help all our animals have a forever home!
Half Way Home Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit organization that is made up of a group of individuals and volunteers.
Along with the support and donations from individuals, veterinarians, and others we strive for the rescue and humane care and treatment of the animals in our community, state and throughout our country. Together we are saving hundreds of animal lives annually.
Half Way Home Animal Rescue is 501(c)(3) not-for-profit and no-kill organization. We are a foster run animal rescue group who finds selfless people who are willing to take in and offer a home to the animals who are in need - until a permanent family is found to adopt them.
Our goals are to ensure that every animal is treated with the respect that they deserve; to educate our communities on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets - in order to solve the pet overpopulation problem; the humane treatment and care of all animals, and the rescue and transportation of the many animals that are being put to death in our communities every day, due to no fault of their own.
As always - Our Animals are HALF WAY HOME to a Better Life.
Please check out our events calendar located on our website www.hwhanimalrescue.com for locations and times of our adoption events.
