**Cat Special**
We have had several kities for a long time. They are wonderful kitties and deserve good homes. We have lowered their adoption fees to try and get them adopted. And now they have a sponsor and adoption fees are only $20! They have waited such a long time. URGENT!!! We need volunteers for cats and dogs! Please email if you are interested in helping. 3/30/09 UPDATE: We were inspected today by the department of agriculture and all went well! He gave me forms and approved the Waverly Pet Rescue having foster homes! So please email me if you would like to help!
**Who We Are**
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. WE ARE A NO-KILL RESCUE. Waverly Pet Rescue is now officially a 501(c)3 non-profit organization so all donations are tax deductible!
We are a small group of people with a sincere love for animals. The towns we live in do not have shelters so we are helping the homeless pets that have nowhere else to go. All the animals that we have will live in a loving volunteer home until adopted no matter how long that takes. We are very committed to the animals we are helping.
Waverly Pet Rescue was started in August 2006. The founder / director has a strong love for animals and her passion is to save and help as many as possible. She was born in Waverly, confirmed in Waverly, graduated in Waverly, and is now raising her own children in Waverly. Even her parents and grandparents graduated from the high-school in Waverly! She cares very much about this community and has deep roots here. She started rescuing stray cats and dogs when she was a small child growing up, so it is very fitting for her to now devote so much time to the Waverly Pet Rescue and helping the animals in need.
**Adopting a friend**
If you would like to adopt one of our pets, please email and I will send an application. Or go back to the top and click on the online application link. We are devoted to the animals in our care and do all we can to make sure they are placed in good homes. We require all prospective adoptions to be subject to application and interviewing before adoption approval.
No dogs will be adopted that will be kept strictly outside. We do not adopt to inside / outside homes for cats. If not already done, all animals must be spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption.

**Adopting a friend: IMPORTANT**
1. Waverly Pet Rescue does not hold pets. If you are asked for further information you need to provide this to us as soon as possible. If another home has applied in the meantime, meeting all qualifications prior to you submitting the information, the pet may go to the other home. Please set up to see the animal as soon as you can because again, we do not hold them. We want them to go to their forever home as soon as they can so they can start bonding with their new family.
2. We also do not adopt on a first come, first serve basis. We select the best home.
3. We have the right to refuse anyone a pet, for any reason.
4. We are volunteers. Waverly Pet Rescue does not have a paid staff. We all give our spare time to give unwanted dogs and cats the chance to be in a loving, warm, safe home. We run our organization in a professional manner. Please be patient with our response back to you.
**Come Visit Us**
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. All our animals are in foster care so please email and we can arrange for you to meet the pet you are interested in. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first.

We are in need of donations to help cover our medical expenses. If you would like to help, any amount (big or small) would be appreciated. WAVERLY PET RESCUE now has two places for you to donate cans and plastic
bottles to help the cats and dogs in our foster system. Drop off is located
in the parking lot of NORBY'S FARM & FLEET, 1901 4th St. SW, Waverly. Norby's
hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 6 PM, Saturday 7:30 AM - 5 PM, and
Sunday 10 AM - 4 PM. Or at WALGREENS, 320 West Bremer Avenue
Waverly. Drop off at box located East of the front door. They can be dropped off 24 hours a day!
