Cavy Care Inc. is a licensed, federally recognized nonprofit dedicated to the rescue and placement of cavies, also known as guinea pigs. As a true no kill shelter, Cavy Care Inc also offers sanctuary for those guinea pigs with special needs as funding permits. Cavy Care Inc is NOT funded by any other means than donation, boarding and adoption fees. We do not receive any government, federal, or city funding. Our personel are all unpaid volunteers. We are a community serving private shelter with a 501c3 status so your shelter donations are tax deductible.

IMPORTANT NOTICE>>>>>Rabbits Need Homes Emergency Rescue!
Adoption fee $25 per rabbit. $45 for bonded pairs. Free Friday's adoptions are free to well qualified homes.
Literature provided. Have been vet checked. We normally do not rescue rabbits but have 12 rabbits in need of homes as they where scheduled for euthanize at another shelter. Most fixed or are being fixed to be taken home.

Guinea pig Information
$25.00 to adopt a single guinea pig. This includes a free first veterinarian visit with one of our veterinarians. And your first pound of food.
$45.00 to adopt a pair guinea pigs. This includes a free first veterinarian visit with one of our veterinarians. And your first pound of food.
$10 for each additional guinea pig adopted if in groups of three or more.
Adoption appointments are scheduled Friday, Saturday, Sundays from 10:00 to 5:00 pm.
Please schedule ahead, we will need to complete a pre-adoption form and then setup an appointment.
Adoptions include a free adoption exam and one pound of food per guinea pig to transition them on to new food. Also a free week of boarding, a $35 value.
Finally adopting includes discount on some items such as food, hay, and bedding and boarding."
All guinea pigs are chipped and if lost will be returned to the shelter and then we will contact you.
Cavy Care adoption entitles you to a life time of free advice for the life time of your guinea pig.
Applications are only retained for two weeks.
Once you have set an appointment and selected your guinea pig, Cavy Care Inc. will provide you with a box for your guinea pigs travel home, a free vet exam and one pound of food for your guinea pig to transfer from on to your new food.
Cavy Care Inc. reserves the right to decline any application for any reason and to refuse the adoption of sanctuary guinea pigs for any reason..
Appointments are set after the competition of pre-adoption forms either emailed or completed over the phone once that is done then an appointment is set.
For one hour you have the uninterrupted time of an adoption counselor to answer question and help you find the perfect guinea pig as your life time family member.
