We are always in need of volunteers! You are welcome to visit our facility and to volunteer if you wish. Please come to the shelter to fill our volunteer application and forms. If you have any ideas to improve our shelter please feel free to let us know! Also, come and check out our cat room! It has cat-walks around the ceilings and walls and the cats just love it! Dog walkers will love our shelter. There is lots of open space and plenty of happy dogs.
Who We Are
We are the Animal Control unit on the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. We have strays and owner relinquished pets for adoption, and you may adopt even if you are not affiliated with the military. The public is welcome! Come on out and adopt a patriotic pet.
Adopting a friend
After walking through our kennels and speaking with a kennel attendant or volunteer about the type of dog or cat that is best suited for your home and lifestyle, please complete an adoption application for the animal you are interested in.
All animals are altered (spayed/neutered), vaccinated, and microchiped PRIOR to adoption.
Dogs are given baths and/or advantage, heart worm tested and started on a preventative, and vaccinated for rabies/dhlppc/bordatella.
Cats are given advantage, feline leukemia tested, and vaccinated for rabies/rccp.
The adoption fee is $110 for dogs, and $85 for cats. (Cash or Visa or Mastercard. No checks.) The adoption fee includes a one-year base registration tag for base residents. Please come and see us and our adoptable patriotic pets. The adoption fees are well worth what you're getting.
