The Alameda Animal Shelter is having a TWO FURS Special. Get any two animals for one adoption fee...the higher fee would apply, and the spay/neuter fee if adopting dogs and cats would still be charged for both animals. The Two Furs applies to dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs and other shelter animals.
We have lots of wonderful dogs, cats, and rabbits waiting to go home to new families. If you have the heart and space to take care of an animal, please come and visit the animal shelter.
We have many lovable dogs at the shelter right now - come on over and take one for a walk! The shelter is full of dogs that would make a great addition to your family. The shelter also has several adult cats who are absolutely wonderful to adopt. Mittens, beautiful feline with white socks, has been at the shelter for six months. She prefers to be the Queen of her castle which means no other pets in household. MIttens also prefers homes without small children. Please visit her!
All of these animals would make great additions to caring families. Come down to the shelter to check out our animals. You won't be disappointed.
Who We Are
We are a small but busy shelter located in Alameda, California which is an island located in the San Francisco Bay. We are about a fifteen minute drive from SF and a five minute drive from Oakland. We always have quite a few highly adorable, highly adoptable animals on hand(including dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, bunnies, and more!!!) We are the perfect place to look when thinking of adding someone special to your family!
