The Payson Humane Society is currently raising funds to begin building our new shelter, so that we have more room for the many dogs and cats we care for every year. If you can help, please contact us! UPDATE: We are having our Ground Breaking Ceremony Saturday, May 2nd at 3 pm. We encourage you to come by and join us in this exciting event!

Who We Are

The Payson Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping unwanted pets find loving homes.

Adopting a friend

Dog and cat listings are updated regularly. If you see a dog or cat you like, please call us for more information and our hours before driving over. Call us at 928-474-5590. We also have puppies that are not always listed.

Come Visit Us!

Our hours are from 9:30 am to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are closed for lunch from 11:30 to 1 p.m., and are closed Sunday and Monday. On Wednesdays we open at 1 p.m. Take Hwy 87 (or 260) to Payson, and then turn west (left if you're coming from Phoenix, right if you're coming from the north), on Main Street. Go down a few blocks, and turn left on South McLane. We're next to the groomers on the right side of the street.
