The Petfinder.com Foundation is an effective way to show your compassion for homeless animals. By keeping our expenses low (less than 5% in 2006), we are able to distribute a significant percentage of funds raised directly to animal shelters and foster groups, large and small, in rural and urban communities across North America. We think this is the best way to recognize and support their hard work in finding homes for the animals entrusted to their care. Give in honor or in memory of a special person or animal
Do you wish to honor someone who cares about animals for his or her birthday or a special occasion? Do you have a special companion animal you would like to honor or memorialize? Simply indicate this when you send in your contribution! Please include the names of the people or animals in whose honor or memory the gift is being made, as well as the name and address of the person or the family to whom we should acknowledged the gift.

Double Your Donation
You can increase your donation with matching corporate gifts. Many companies match the charitable contributions of their employees. This doubles (or more) your financial support and is relatively easy to obtain. Contact your company's human resources department to find out more about this benefit and to pick up your company's matching gift form.

Ensure your support lasts
You can leave a legacy that provides support and hope to thousands of homeless animals and animal shelters through your estate planning. Consider designating in your Will a specific amount or percentage of your estate to be donated to the Petfinder.com Foundation or another reputable animal charity. Also, review periodically your designated beneficiaries to any life insurance policies or investment funds. Although we are available to meet and discuss with you your particular situation and desires, always consult with your tax advisor and attorney regarding your financial and estate plans first.
