TRIPP AND PALMER- ENERGIC DYNAMIC DUO

TRIPP is a young White Crested Ridgeback male, approximately 1.5 years old. This charming, wild-haired sweetheart was rescued from a shelter in early 2024, along with two of his friends, after they (and many other animals) were taken in by animal control due to deplorable living conditions. It appears he was dealing with prior trauma when he first came into our care, and it is possible that he still has a bit of PTSD from his previous life. We have been working with him to become more comfortable when being picked up. We have found that placing him in his snuggle sack has significantly helped in making him more comfortable and has led to earning his trust. He loves nose boops, pea flakes, and stacking cups filled with forage.

Initially, he faced challenges in finding his ideal match within our rescue, but we were confident he would eventually find a piggy that met his needs. He finally discovered that in baby Palmer!

PALMER - a lively American guinea pig born on 9.24.2024, along with his three siblings, after rescuing their mother from a local shelter. As Palmer is still a baby, he is learning to trust humans when being picked up. Palmer thrives on enrichments such as stacking cups and foraging in hay.

These handsome and highly energetic young males will keep you smiling and laughing as they continuously pop around their enclosure, happy as can be. They enjoy hides with two exits as they love to zoom throughout their entire enclosure.

Whoever decides to adopt these boys will find endless entertainment simply observing their interactions. They have a particular fondness for a freshly cleaned cage, and it is during these moments that their excitement reaches its peak as they buck, shake, and popcorn in appreciation of their refreshed environment.

*** If you are interested in young male guinea pigs, please take the time to research the "teenage" years to understand the possible normal behaviors during this stage. The teenage years typically last anywhere from 3 months to 1 year, usually fizzling out completely by 14-18 months. All guinea pigs are different, so no two are alike. *** Extensive research should always be done prior to adopting any new pet into your family to prevent surrendering or returning!!
