Hi, we are Sparks & Charming! Here is what would work best for us in our new home:

-Personality: Sparks is shy, curious, opinionated, and silly. Charming is hungry, goofy, curious, and timid.
-Can live with kids: Yes, we can be handled by gentle, respectful children ages 12+. Adults MUST be our caretaker without exception.
-Experienced home: YES - SUGAR GLIDER EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY. Our ideal home has an existing sugar glider colony or has extensive knowledge that they can readily demonstrate to animal care staff. Please do your research before you apply - we are not an entry level pet.
-Energy level: Low during the day because we are NOCTURNAL. We will be much more active in the evening, so be prepared for nighttime noise!
-Can live with other sugar gliders: Yes - these two are a bonded pair. They may be able to slowly integrate into a larger glider colony under the experienced guidance of their owner.
-Bite History: No, but we will reportedly nibble if annoyed during the day.
-Additional information: Sparks and Charming are sugar gliders, arboreal marsupials that can live 10-15 years. In addition to being so cute that it hurts, they have extremely specialized habitat and dietary needs in order to be healthy. You cannot simply go to a pet store and buy a nutritionally complete diet for them, they will need to be offered species-appropriate fruit, veggies, and proteins (like mealworms) every day and should be supplemented with a glider-specific vitamin to avoid nutritional deficiencies that can cause disease. Our level of care and engagement requirements are HIGH and we will need exotic vet care which can be expensive.
