Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Hamster & Gerbil Food

Favorite toys and activities: Running on his wheel, snuggling with his brother, chewing on wood and cardboard

Potty trained: No

This animal’s daily routine: Not really, but being taken care of in the morning and the evening

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Sour recently lost his bonded cage mate to old age. Although we do encourage gerbils to have cage mates, we feel bonding may be too stressful for Sour at his stage in life.

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? None

Health concerns: Sour has previously been treated for a skin infection around his nose. This was around the time when his brother developed a skin tumor- the infection can happen when gerbils are stressed out. He is completely healed and infection-free now.

Behavioral concerns: None

Sour made his way to MNPPR after they did not mix with their owner's other pets.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at Either PetSmart location in Rochester, MN - 3845 Marketplace Dr NW, Rochester, MN 55901 & 4603 Maine Ave SE #109, Rochester, MN 55904 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
