Meet Shain and Seamus
Meet our new chatty, sweet boys. They claim to be Irish but we think they are full of blarney. But we do agree they will be great friends for anyone who adopts them. They have come to us from a private home where the children lost interest in caring for them. We see this often and stress though they are wonderful pets for children because they are gentle, it is the adults who must do their daily care and supervise the daily cleaning or children lose interest. They are a bonded pair so must be adopted together. They are approximately one year old.
Guinea pigs are active, gentle, relatively low maintenance pets that love companionship, delight in cuddles, and make great pets for gentle children six years old and up. Guinea pigs are happiest when they have a clean cage and lots of interactive socialization time with their person. They do require fresh hay and greens (lettuce, parsley, basil, etc.) on a daily basis and adopters should consider this expense when adding a guinea pig to their family. If you would like to adopt a guinea pig, rabbit or other small critter, please fill out our adoption application: www.medfieldshelter.com/adoption-forms/critter
