Rodney is a calm gerbil that loves treats (dried mealworms and Timothy hay) who sleeps most of the day but also spends a lot of time chewing toilet paper rolls and egg cartons. He allows you to pet him if he has a treat in his hands but does not enjoy being handled beyond that. Rodney's had at least two homes that we know of in his short life. His first owner moved and was unable to take him with. Thankfully, they left him with someone who did lots of research on gerbil husbandry and care. She traveled over 4 hours to find placement at Mending Spirits Animal Rescue. Rodney came with some personal supplies (including a spatious tank) that is included in his adoption.
