Meet Raisin
Estimated birth date: Unknown, Adult
Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Cuddly, Chatty, Playful, Energetic, Enjoys being held, Sweet
Favorite treats: Broccoli and green pepper and piggy "pretzel" sticks
Favorite toys and activities: Loves chewing cardboard tubes and a ball made from sticks, also timothy hay twists
Potty trained: No
This animal daily routine: I give him a treat every morning and a salad every evening. He squeaks until he gets them. He is out to cuddle nearly every night and is starting to run around in his playpen.
BFF: No, but needs a friend in adoptive home.
Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: None
Health concerns: None
Behavioral concerns: Raisin has started showing extra affection in the form of "love bites" towards his foster. We believe this to be a form of courtship and love as if his foster was another guinea pig. We highly suggest that Raisin is adopted to a home with another guinea pig so that he can bond to this level with someone of his own species.
Other notes: His new "hobbies" include tipping his food dish over to get his pretzel sticks and doing everything in his igloo. He walks around with it like a turtle shell - drinking water and even pulling his food dish and favorite toys into it. Raisin now enjoys cuddling if he can sit on your lap. Even ear and chin scratches are now ok once he’s snuggled in.
Due to our rescue being foster based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. Raisin’s foster parent prefers to meet at the St Louis Park PetSmart - 5640 Cedar Lake Rd S, Minneapolis, MN 55416 or Plymouth PetSmart - 4190 Vinewood Ln N, Plymouth, MN 55442 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
