PENELOPE & PIPER's Story
These sweet Guinea Pigs were surrendered when their owner could no longer care for them. Penelope (tricolor) is about 1 year old, while Piper (tricolor) is about 6 months old. The piggies are getting acclimated to their foster home where there are lots of other animals and more barking than they are used to. They are super sweet and wheek when their foster mom walks into the room – excited for the attention and snacks they are about to receive. They came to us thin but quickly proved that they LOVE to eat and are gaining healthy weight. They eat lots of hay, vegetables, pellets with added Vitamin C and of course the occasional sweet treat (fresh fruit). They are comfortable being held and snuggle into you when you handle them.
