Pecan Hedgehog Hedgehog Saint Paul, MN

Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.

Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Cuddly, Mouthy (puts mouth on you but does not bite down, usually thinking your fingers are food), Enjoys being held, Readily allows you to pick it up, Sweet

Favorite treats: None currently. We are working on trying new things.

Favorite toys and activities: Loves to cuddle and run around where people are. After he gets comfortable he likes to nestle in and cuddle.

Potty trained: We’re working on it!

This animal's daily routine: Daily evening playtime.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a same species friend in their home?): No, Pecan prefers to live alone.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Dogs – no interest.

Health concerns: Has a history of skin infection that has since been treated and resolved.

Behavioral concerns: None

Other notes: Pecan is a very sweet and outgoing little hedgehog. He will do best in a home with people who have time to interact with him and give him plenty of attention.

Pecan was born in rescue after his mom was transferred to us as a part of a hoarding case from SD.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN.
