Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Playful, Energetic, Nervous
Favorite treats: Sunflower seeds
Favorite toys and activities: Louie loves his dust baths and to explore
Potty trained: Does not use a litter box but only potties in cage
This animal daily routine: Sleep throughout most of the day, comes out to play from around 7:00pm-9:00am. Gets daily handling around 8:00pm and feed about 8:30am
BFF (Does this animal have or need a same species friend in their home?): Dewey & Louie are a bonded pair.
Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Louie has not been exposed to other species.
Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Louie has not been exposed to children in his foster home.
Health concerns: None
Behavioral concerns: Louie is just as friendly and outgoing as Dewey but gets nervous when being handled and does not seem comfortable with being handled. His foster is currently working with him on this by handling him for a few minutes every day.
Other notes: He loves playing with his brother
Dewey & Louie came to MNPPR after being abandoned at a pet store who was unable to provide care.
Due to our rescue being foster based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the PetSmart - 10451 Baltimore St NE, Blaine, MN 55449for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Dewey & Louie have a combined adoption fee of $17
Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.
We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.
