Lager Guinea Pig Abyssinian Saint Paul, MN

Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.

Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Chatty, Playful, Sweet, very social just doesn't like to be held yet

Favorite treats: Carrots, herbs, kale, green peppers, lettuce, strawberries, and grapes

Favorite toys and activities: His hut and tunnels

Potty trained: We haven’t tried yet

This animal daily routine: We are still working on a daily routine. Right now it is just be cute and eat!

BFF (Does this animal have or need a same species friend in their home?): Lager’s BFF is Fulton!

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Lager hasn’t been exposed to any other species yet.

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: Lager is working on some trust training. His foster is using slow movement, showing hands with treats, floor time, and talking to him.

Other notes: Lager likes to see what is going on but doesn't always want to be touched.

Lager & Fulton found their way to MNPPR after their family was no longer able to afford their care.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. Lager’s foster parent prefers to meet at the Eden Prairie PetSmart - 11200 Prairie Lakes Dr, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
