Iris and Myrtle: video!!'s Story

*pair of female chinchillas <br/>*Iris: dark gray/black Myrtle: gray<br/>*both are about a year and a half to 2 as of August 2025<br/>-These girls came to us from WV after they were part of a cruelty case and seized from a bad owner. They are settling in well here and ready to find a real home! Both girls definitely had a bad life prior to coming here and are learning that humans are good! Iris is more outgoing while Myrtle is nervous and will gripe at you when you come in their cage lol. They are bribe able with treats and just need a consistent and positive home life! They are sweet girls we know will thrive in a good environment. They are a bonded pair and we will not separate them. Chinchillas can live 20 years with proper care! We do not recommend chinchillas for children as they do not make good pets for children under 12. They require a specialized habitat with multiple levels, specific food, and regular grooming care. Interested adopters can fill out our adoption application here: https://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html. Adoption fee is $50 for a single chin, $100 for a pair.

Judge's Park's Adoption Policy

**Please scroll down on any animal you are interested in and read their profile thoroughly. It tells all relevant information on the animal and also how you can begin the adoption process!** If interested in adopting an animal from Judge's Park, you must first fill out our adoption application at https://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html. Once we get that completed and sent to us we can set up a visit to see the animal you are interested in. We cannot set up visits before we receive the application. Judge's Park does not have open hours and animals are visited by appointment only. No exceptions! Rabbits and cats require a home visit prior to adoption. We may or may not ask you of a picture of your cage and set up if adopting another type of animal. We have the right to refuse adoption to ANYONE. Adoption appointments, surrenders, or other visits are at the time scheduled. Not before and not after. If you arrive early, we ask that you wait in your car until your appointment time. If you will be over 30 minutes late, we ask that you reschedule for another day. We cannot schedule appointments after 6:30 in the evening. No calls no shows will NOT be rescheduled. Please be respectful of the people who take their time to run this rescue and their personal time that could be spent with their families. We strive to adopt animals to the best home that we can find for them. Many of them have been neglected, abandoned, and abused, and we will not allow them to be returned to such an environment. If we do not think a home is suitable, we will not place an animal in that home. All of our animals are adopted out as indoors only! If we are able, the animal will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption (all cats and rabbits). No animal will ever be adopted out for breeding. If you do not live close to us and are interested in an animal, we do work with transports. Pictures and/or video in lieu of a home visit may be required.
