Meet Hoku
Meet Hoku, our first ever tripod in the rescue. Her name means little Star in Hawaii and she certainly is a star. She's featured in a YouTube video back when her name was Corn and she was being pulled out of a crowded shelter in California along with several other hamsters scheduled to be euthanized. Hoku fits her so much better!
She arrived underweight and on the defensive side but after weeks of supplemental food in addition to her regular food she has filled out and has grown accustomed to humans too.
Hoku does not know she only has 3 legs. She's quite active! As a bonus she pees exclusively in her sand bath so her cage stays clean. Speaking of her cage, hers is available to purchase.
To inquire about adopting Hoku reach out and we'll get you scheduled for a phone interview ASAP.
