Gus, Jaq & Mert's Story
Meet Gus, Jaq & Mert

Mert came to Little Critter Crew after sadly losing his cage mates, leaving him all alone. Around the same time, Gus and Jaq were looking for a new start after a daring escape from their previous enclosure. It turned out to be perfect timing.

Their bonding process has gone well overall. Mert (formerly Rito) has emerged as the dominant one, while Jaq is learning to adjust to that. Thanks to the split-tank method and multiple introductions, they’ve worked through their initial squabbles. We’ll continue monitoring their relationship to ensure a strong, lasting bond before they’re ready for adoption.

Gus and Jaq are both sweet and easy to handle. Mert is curious and enjoys interacting with people, though he’s still getting used to being picked up.

Interested in adopting rescue gerbils?
Please read our care guide and submit an application here:

https://littlecrittercrew.org/gerbil-care-guide/

Location: Fostered in Portland, OR – willing to travel for the right home.

Status: Ready for adoption- Accepting Applications
