Meet Guinea Pig
We have a wide variety of Guinea Pigs available at any given time. Males, females, different breeds, babies, young, adult....you name it. There is a huge need for guinea pig rescue in our area, so please consider adopting versus purchasing and make sure you research. Guinea Pigs take time to bond and this is the number one reason they are surrendered. Parents get them for "easy" pets for kids, but kids are not very patient with earning guinea pig trust and bonding and they find themselves in shelters. They do make wonderful pets, but require daily attention, daily maintenance of an appropriate habitat and a very healthy diet with fresh greens and veggies full of vitamin C. We do not adopt Guinea Pigs to be singletons. They are social animals who would naturally live in herds and despite how much time you think you might spend with it, the reality is that 90% of their time will be inside their habitat and not with you. That is a very lonely existence without a species companion. We have several bonded pairs and we do have some in our guinea pig "community" who could easily be adopted to be a companion to a current GP in your home. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on what is available or if you have any questions about being a guinea pig owner!!!
