Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Playful, Energetic

Favorite treats: Whole unsalted peanuts, pumpkin seeds, plain cheerios

Favorite toys and activities: Running on the wheel! making tunnels, exploring during floor time

Potty trained: Not officially but they tend to use 1-2 spots consistently so spot cleaning is easy

This animal’s daily routine: Awake and about in the morning, long sleep mid day, up again in the evenings when we refill food, water and spot clean

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Hedwig & Fang are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Ignores cat and dog while in the enclosure. Has not met other animals during floor time for safety

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Yes, similar reaction as adults

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: Fang is in our trust training program: We are continuing to associate human hands with good food and playtime. They don’t bite or even mouth our hands but get startled very easily as they haven’t been handled much in their life

Other notes: While they don’t like being picked up they readily go into a transfer box to move for floor time or enclosure deep cleaning. At floor time they are very active and busy. They run over our hands/feet/legs. Love exploring magna tile mazes and other obstacle courses.

Hedwig & Fang came to MNPPR after being abandoned at a pet store who was unable to provide care.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Highland Park Chuck & Don's 2114 Ford Pkwy, St Paul, MN 55116 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
