Meet Crouton & Toast
These boys are rescued feeders. They are cute, curious, and ready to live their best lives. Crouton is white and Toast is Himalaya. They are being fostered in Wayne, NJ. As an adoption fee, we ask for a donation of your choice.
We require current habitat recommendations from BCSPCA which includes a tall enclosure with multiple levels, measuring three feet long by two feet wide by four feet high. Bar spacing must be no larger than half an inch apart given the age of these guys. Habitat bottoms should be solid, not mesh or wire, or covered with fleece or other material. Habitats should also be well-ventilated (i.e. no tanks, or plastic walls). Our #1 recommendation is the Critter Nation (single for up to 4 rats / double for 5+).
Given that anesthesia is risky for small mammals, these boys will be left intact. However, breeding is absolutely not permitted and you will be required to enter into a no-breeding agreement.
Daily, out of cage playtime is a must.
Please be prepared to provide photos of your habitat and habitat accessories.
