Meet Carmel
Carmel was surrendered HHAR due to his previous owner losing interest. He’s about 5 months old. He has spent some time with us and impressed us with how sweet and curious he is. He loves veggies, cuddles and floor time. He is ready for his furever home.
The habitat that he should be housed in would be 8 square feet so he has space to run and play. His diet consists of Oxbow Adult Guinea Pig pellets (1/8cup per day ), and unlimited Timothy hay. Red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce, zucchini, peppers, endive, dandelion, parsley/cilantro(sparingly) are his favorite vegetables. He should get 1cup of fresh veggies daily. He drinks well from a water bottle.
He came in as a single pig but he is social and would enjoy being bonded with another young or baby male guinea pig.
Fabric/fleece is used in his cage. We don't recommend paper bedding that has baking soda in it, pine or cedar, as those are toxic to guinea pigs. Laundry soap is unscented and no dryer sheets are used.
If you are interested in adopting Carmel, respond to this posting to schedule a time to come meet him.
