Meet Buddy and Snowball
Hi, our names are Buddy and Snowball! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Wiggly, cuddly, curious, active
-Can live with kids: Yes, however kids can not be their primary care giver.
-Ferret experience required: Not required, but preferred.
-Can live with other ferrets: Yes, Buddy and Snowball are a bonded pair. They are required to be adopted together.
-Lifespan: 6-10 years
-Can live with cats and dogs: Unknown history, but can live with other pets as long as the introductions are done slow and safely. Ask staff if you need tips on how to do this smoothly. Not a good match for dogs who are prey driven.
-Energy level: Medium
-Litter box trained: Still working on it!
-Bite History: None.
-Need a procedure before going home: Yes, a microchip.
-Additional information: Snowball and Buddy were surrendered to WHS together and are looking for their forever home! They will need a nice roomy cage with minimum dimensions of 20" long, 20" in deep and 40" wide, but the bigger the better. Multi-tiered cages are preferred, but ferrets can get injured falling, especially during play; hang ferret hammocks near upper level edges. Ferrets can be little trouble makers so it's important to ferret proof your house before bringing them home. They need a home that can let them explore and play outside of their cage daily as well as someone that will do research on ferret caretaking.
