Meet Brodo
Estimated birth date: 2/1/2019
Personality: Very shy (you are unable to touch this animal without it running away or being fearful, etc), Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Chatty, Energetic.
Favorite treats: Carrots, celery and fruits like apple or melon
Favorite toys and activities: To play in their tunnels or cardboard boxes
Potty trained: Does not use a litter box but only potties in cage
This animal daily routine: Baby carrot in the morning, celery or occasional fruit at noon and fresh hay, then a few veggies for dinner too.
BFF (Does this animal have or need a same species friend in their home?): Yes! Brodo is bonded to Porkchop.
Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: None
Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Has not been exposed to children.
Health concerns: None
Behavioral concerns: None. Brodo is friendly and just needs some regular holding and petting to become used to it.
Other notes: Brodo likes to grunt and talk and sounds wheezey when he’s excited, but we think this is due to his previous health problem. He exhibits no wheezing or other health related sounds, signs, or issues during normal daily routine.
Porkchop found his way to MNPPR when his owner became allergic to his hay. Brodo made his way to MNPPR when his owners could not afford or maintain the urgent veterinary care that was needed.
Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. Brodo’s foster parent prefers to meet at the Eden Prairie PetSmart - 11200 Prairie Lakes Dr, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Porkchop & Brodo have a combined adoption fee of $40
Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.
