Meet Bell and Gertrude
Bell and Gertrude are a sweet, healthy and gentle pair of one-year-old female guinea pigs looking for a loving guardian together.
Bell is a golden teddy bear guinea pig and Gertrude is a tri-color American guinea pig. These guinea pig girls are easy to hold in your arms. Just takes a little practice if you are new to guinea pigs.
Guinea pigs eat a diet of unlimited timothy and orchard hays, limited pellets, and fresh vegetables. They love trying new greens and veggies. Guinea pigs require vitamin C daily which they could get from pellets, a one-inch square of red pepper, or dark leafy greens.
Please read up on guinea pig care and diet before adopting by visiting this excellent web site http://www.guinealynx.info/
They would love a home with people who will handle them daily, keep them well fed, nails trimmed, and keep their habitat nice and clean.
If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting Bell and Gertrude, please fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up for an appointment by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
They are being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
Their adoption fee of $60 each benefits the friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $75, we’ll include a kit of absolutely everything you need to care for the girls including their food, large cage, hay, litter, hidey hut, treats, and water bottle.
