Meet Bean
Hi, my name is BEAN! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Adventurous, Curious, Spunky
-Can live with kids: Yes, I can live with and be handled by respectful kids ages 8+. Children CANNOT be my primary caregivers.
-Experienced home: Previous ferret experience not mandatory, but adopters must be able to demonstrate adequate species knowledge prior to adoption. Do your research before you submit your application, please.
-Energy level: High
-Can live with other ferrets: No history. Ferrets are generally social and can live in pairs or trios after appropriate introductory procedures.
-Litter box trained: No, but I can learn!
-Bite History: No skin breaking bites, but according to my previous owner, I will nip occasionally if I'm being handled in a way I don't like.
-Additional information: Ferrets are a ton of fun and constant laughs, but an exotic species with specific care requirements and expensive veterinary needs. Bean will need a large, roomy cage (see: Ferret Nation/Critter Nation cages) with daily out of cage exercise. His diet should consist of high quality ferret diet and fresh water offered all day. Ferrets are obligate carnivores!
