Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.

Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Chatty, Playful, Energetic, Nervous, Sweet

Favorite treats: Carrots, melon, cucumber, banana peppers

Favorite toys and activities: Racing, crunching, and lounging in fluffy bed

Potty trained: No

This animal daily routine: Bacon gets a treat when he wakes up and then receives fresh hay a few times a day along with lots of social time.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a same species friend in their home?): No, Bacon will need a guinea pig buddy in his adoptive home!

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Bacon has not been exposed to children.

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: Bacon is working on his comfort with being pet and having people around him.

Special note: Bacon was previously housed with another guinea pig and began to show dominant behaviors causing their need to be separated. Rebonding was attempted but was unsuccessful. Bacon is now searching for a new buddy with the right personality to bond with.

Bacon found his way to MNPPR when his owner became allergic to his hay.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN.
