Babble Rat Rat Saint Paul, MN

Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.

Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Lazy, Cuddly, Playful, Energetic, Mouthy (puts mouth on you but does not bite down, usually thinking your fingers are food), Enjoys being held, Readily allows you to pick it up, Sweet

Favorite treats: Popcorn, uncooked spaghetti, carrots, apples, grapes, cracker-like rats treats

Favorite toys and activities: Wrestling with his brother, climbing to the highest point of whatever he can get to, chewing up and hiding in boxes, snoozing in his hammock, floor time in the play pen

Potty trained: No

This animal daily routine: In the mornings they get a little bit of food and some attention while his foster tidies up their cage around 7:00 AM. In the evenings they get floor time around 6:00 PM along another cage tidy up and a food refresh. They sleep in their hammocks or pipes during the day and are very active at night.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a same species friend in their home?): Yes! Babble is bonded with River!

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Dogs and cats. Does reasonably well and is mostly non-reactive if the other pet is non reactive.

Other notes: Babble is the most outgoing one out of the group! Babble is a silly, delightful rat with a great personality and lots of charm. He always meets you at the door to the cage with a smile, especially if you have a treat for him. He’s curious, clownish, and oafish and always the life of the party. He can be a little jealous if you smell like another species, so he prefers if you wash your hands or change your shirt before giving him all your love.

Babble & River made their way to MNPPR as a transfer all the way from TN where they were a part of a hoarding case.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. Babble’s foster parent prefers to meet at the Chuck & Don's Pet Food & Supplies, 910 Wildwood Rd, Mahtomedi, MN 55115 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
