Their Voice Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue serving Northern Virginia and beyond. We concentrate on the rescue of high-risk dogs from kill shelters nationwide. Our organization was founded on a deep-rooted, unwavering commitment to give a voice to suffering animals.
Speak up for those who can’t! Together we can improve the treatment of animals worldwide and bring joy back into the lives of innocent, silent dogs in need.
Adoption Policy
Adoption applications are processed Tuesday-Saturday and reviewed in the order received. Our primary goal is to place each dog in the home that is the best fit for them, and with the adopter(s) that is the best match. If we believe you may be a great match for the dog(s) you applied for, we will be in touch within 5-7 days with any follow-up questions or to let you know your application is approved for an on-site visit. During official holidays, please expect to be contacted within 7-10 days. We contact an applicant's veterinarian and landlord (if applicable) and three (3) personal references as part of our standard adoption application process. Home visits are required.
To best utilize the resources and time of our small and hard-working team, we will only contact applicants that we’re considering for adoption. In most cases, we receive multiple applications for each dog, and we strive to select the best match for that particular dog’s personality and temperament. If you do not hear from us within the timeframe mentioned above, we didn’t approve your application for the dog(s) you applied for. If we have another dog that we believe may be better suited for you, we will contact you with our recommendation.
