Our Mission

Paw-Some Small Critters Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, all-volunteer group of critter lovers. We saw the need in our area for a rescue that provided medical care, shelter, & love for the needy, unwanted, homeless, or neglected small critters of Brazoria County and beyond. We try to provide community services that help keep companion animals with their humans as often as possible, and if it is not possible, then we also take in the surrendered pocket pets
Paw-Some Small Critters Rescue has worked with other Rescue Groups, our local SPCA, Humane Organizations, and people in the private sector, to place companion animals all over our area in classrooms as classroom pets to allow children the opportunity to see animals they may not be able to. PSSCR also provides animal "critter cuddles". This is a program where a small group of size appropriate animals go off-site to either a school, day-care, or living facility and the animals get to interact with the people who are there. It is as beneficial to the critters as it is to the residents/students. Paw-Some Small Critters Rescue, Inc. provides these services and more through donations from individuals that believe in our mission. Donations help provide the food, medical care, and living expenses of all of our critters here at PSSCR.
We also provide Lower Brazoria County and surrounding areas, a safe place to surrender their critters. We are a "No Kill" rescue, and if the animal is not adoptable, for whatever reason, they will get the medical care that they need, and if need be, spend their "Fur-Ever" here, with us, getting the love, care, and attention that every "Critter" (big & small) deserves.
We at PSSCR have "returned to our roots", and are only working with exotic pets, such as rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, chinchillas, deus, reptiles, fowl, pot bellied pigs, goats, etc.

Adoption Policy

If you are interested in an animal, please email paw.some.small.critters77566@gmail.com or text 979-418-1086 and we will send an adoption application to you. We will conduct a home visit and Vet check. If everything checks out, and you are approved to adopt, then we will have a meet and greet. We will also make sure that you have the paperwork that will show you how to take care of your new "family member", what to do in an emergency, and any FAQ.
