Furry Angels Dachshund Rescue
Our Mission
Furry Angels Dachshund Rescue (FADR) will:
1. Seek to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home as many Dachshunds as is physically and financially possible within the Rhode Island and New England area and sometimes beyond.
2. Work with animal control to educate members of the community about the characteristics and needs of the Dachshund breed.
3. Work with other reputable Dachshund groups to enhance the national rescue initiative and raise awareness about puppy mills and rescue mills. Over 23 years of experience with the Dachshund breed.
Adoption Policy
ADOPTION PROCESS
Thank you for choosing to adopt a new member of your family! Our goal is to find the best fit for all of our dogs because adopting a dog is a LIFE LONG commitment.
We carefully screen all applicants, conduct home visits and do meet and greets to ensure that all members of the family get along harmoniously. We do follow up with the families to see how everyone is adjusting. We love updates, photos, stories of adventures, great and small. They will always be part of the Furry Angels Family.
All dogs are micro chipped, spayed/neutered and up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines prior to placement. Here's what we need..

Background check is done with vet and must have 2 references.
Once the adoption application is approved, we schedule a home visit. All members of the household MUST be present.
If you have another dog we must do a meet and greet.
