Our Mission

Right Start Feline Rescue began its rescue services in 2012 as a very small, in-home, feline rescue. As a Veterinary Technician in the Beaverton area that has a passion for cats and their well being, I have seen how demanding the need for rescue and rehoming community cats is. We have been involved with the animals in our community by helping owners without any other option but to surrender their family pets, with the peace of mind that they are going to a home where they will be indoor only and cared for until the right family comes along. We have been helping cats by working with local shelters and rescue organizations, and opening my home as a foster parent for 10+ years. We do this by way of donations from the public and the veterinary community, adoption fees, and out of my own pocket. We will make a difference. One life at a time

My main objective is to see that litters of kittens are getting the best start in life possible. In order for this to happen, they must stay with their mother for a minimum of 8 weeks, when possible, and 10-12 weeks with their litter mates. We always encourage adopting in pairs if under 1 year of age or no other felines in the home.

Adoption Policy

All cats are spayed/neutered, micropchipped, tested for Felv/ FIV, FVRCP series started, and Rabies if age appropriate. All cats will have been dewormed for roundworms, hookworms, and pin worms, and Advantage II is applied monthly. Every adopted pet goes home with a goody bag of toys, food, educational material, and low cost resources for local veterinary clinics.
