My Way Home Dog Rescue
Our Mission
We are a small group of volunteers located in and around Portland, OR, helping one dog at a time. Dogs are housed in volunteer foster homes to assess their behavior and level of training, and to develop their basic social skills. They often have exposure to other pets and people that they would not get in a shelter setting. The stresses of group living in shelters sometimes masks a dog's true personality. We want our dogs to shine and strive to make the best match possible.

Our adoption process starts with an application to help us make this match and being volunteers opening our own homes to dogs, we do not
Adoption Policy
Once you see a dog you are interested in, please email us and we'll send you an applictaion; in word or pdf form. Email that back and we'll have our adoption coordinator get in touch with you to arrange a meet and greet. If all goes well, we do a home check and finalize the adoption.  We do not do same day adoptons as we feel they put too much pressure on what should be a careful and well thought out decision.
