Our Mission
A Purr-fect Fit Animal Rescue & Adoption Center was created by a group of dedicated individuals, who share a passion for animal rescue. The organization is operated by an expansive network of volunteers - there are no paid staff and little administrative overhead.
At A Purr-fect Fit, we work tirelessly to ensure each of the animals in our care is provided the attention and treatment needed to be healthy and adoptable. Our team of talented volunteers raise orphaned pets, treats those who are sick or injured, and socialize those previously unloved. We are Rescue Warriors. We believe every animal should have a safe, loving home. We believe we can make a difference by working together.
A Purr-fect Fit is an independently operated, 501(c)(3), nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue.
Adoption Policy
Thank you for considering one of our pets for your family! We work hard to ensure that each of the animals in our care is matched with an appropriate family, and that each placement is permanent. Our cats roam free at our adoption center (we have an "open cage" policy unless there are circumstances that require them to be in a cage for a short time) which means they are social, friendly & exposed to other cats. You can come visit any time to meet & play and when you're ready to adopt, our friendly volunteers will help you find the purr-fect animal for you & guide you through the adoption process with ease.
Every adopter is required to:
- Complete an adoption application
- Meet A Purr-fect Fit volunteer in person
- Provide a vet reference (if you've had a pet in the last ten years)
- Provide a landlord's reference (if you are renting your home)
- Provide two personal references
Adoption fees are $125 for kittens 10 months & under and for rare breeds. Kittens/cats older than 10 months are $85. Adoptions include spay/neuter, testing, flea & de-worming treatment & age-appropriate vaccinations. You will also receive a certificate for a free "first vet visit" at a list of participating local veterinarians.
