Our Mission

PupStarz Rescue is an all-volunteer animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, volunteer run animal rescue organization.

FAQ

Adoption Process:

Thank you for considering adoption. If you are ready to take the next step in pet parenthood, please see our process below:

Step One: Download and complete an adoption application for either a Dog or Cat. The application is located under our logo to the right, labeled "Adoption Application".

Step Two: Complete and submit the form to rescue@pupstarzrescue.org. Should you have any questions during this time, please feel free to email us. Please note that only complete applications with necessary documentation will be processed.

Step Three: We will review your application, set up time to discuss your needs/preferences, and conduct reference checks.

Step Four: We will schedule a home check and interview that takes approximately 20-30 minutes, talking to you about adoption and any concerns you may have.

Step Five: Once your interview is complete we will connect you with the foster parent of the pup/cat that has caught your eye and schedule a meet and greet.

Things to note:
1. Your application must be submitted with required supporting documents.
2. All dogs/cats and family members in your current household must meet the prospective Animal.
3. You must be 25 years of age to adopt. To foster, you must be 21.
