We are always looking for volunteers - too - ask how you can help!
New York State Retriever Rescue, Inc are a devoted group of volunteers dedicated to finding homes for retrievers of all kinds. We opened up our hearts and homes to that most popular breed, the lab and during our journey opened our group to mixed breeds that exude that same wonderful retriever personality.
We do not have building - we are just a core of individuals across Long Island from all sorts of life styles.Â

Adoption Policy
NYSRR asks that all potential adopters, please visit our website at www.NYSRR.com and fill out our on-line application. We will follow up with a phone interview, some reference checks and a home visit. This is all in an effort to get to know you, your family and your dog experience so we can place the appropriate dog in your home.
All of our dogs are vet checked, brought up to date on shots, neutered or spayed as needed.. Any known medical conditions are addressed accordingly. The adoption fees help to offset these medical costs.
