Minnesota Spay/Neuter Project

PO Box 19546
Minneapolis, MN 55419

Our Mission

To educate and eliminate dog and cat overpopulation and suffering by facilitating low cost spay/neuter and promoting effective policies such as licensing and leash laws for both cats and dogs to assure their safe care.

Adoption Policy

Our cats were traumatized when they came in for foster care and have been in foster care for many years. During that time, we have had volunteers visit weekly to socialize, play and give treats to the cats. Many of them are now comfortable with the socializers but nervous about meeting new people. Anyone interested in adopting a cat will need to come and meet the cat at the foster home several times. If all goes well, the next step will be short visits to the potential adopter's home (1 or 2 hours initial visit, followed by longer and weekend visits) until the potential adopter and cat are confident with each other.
