Our Mission

Rebel Dogs Detroit is a radical no-kill rescue collective based in the heart of Detroit, MI. Our mission is to aid the epidemic of stray dogs, through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming.

We assist our surrounding community in accessing much needed resources in order to keep their pets. We are committed to addressing the needs of our city’s dogs through a radical socioeconomic framework.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you find a dog on the street, know of one being abused, or need help keeping your dog happy and healthy.

Call/text 313-338-4398 24-7 if it is an emergency, 10am-9pm daily for non-emergency.

Rebel Dogs Detroit has a true no-kill approach to rescue. That's why it's so important we keep working toward the goal of opening our very own Rebel Dogs Refuge, a brick-and-mortar shelter in the heart of Detroit.

Haven't heard about our plans? Well go to rebeldogsdetroit.com/shelter and read up on this incredible project. There are lots of ways for you to help, and new information will be dropping soon, so stay tuned!

Adoption Policy

We want to help you find your best friend! Rebel Dogs Detroit is committed to making dog adoption more accessible and attractive to the Detroit community. Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $275, and $325 for puppies. That said, we do have a sliding scale adoption fee for those below the poverty line who are interested in adopting an adult pitbull mix.

We ask you apply for the dog/puppy on our website first and foremost. Once we receive your application, we will contact you with questions and/or set up a time to interview you. The next step is a meeting between you and the dog. If that goes well, and you wish to follow through with the adoption, you can do so at that point.

Our commitment to you and your new companion doesn't end with the adoption. If you ever need help in the future to keep your dog healthy and happy, you can always reach out. We will do everything in our power to help you and your pooch! We appreciate you opening up your home and your hearts, and know that it is a large, long-term responsibility. We ask you to not take it lightly, and promise that we won't either!
