Forgotten Felines Rescue

Covington, LA

Our Mission

Forgotten Felines Rescue appreciates any and all updates/pictures of our beloved adopted cats.

We are a foster-based, volunteer only nonprofit cat rescue completely run by 4 recent college graduates. We are located in Southeast Louisiana. Our goal is to help every cat that needs help. This includes but is not limited to ferals, strays, owner surrenders, and cats that have been cast aside and forgotten about by society.

We aim to place all friendly cats and kittens in foster homes until they are adopted into forever homes of their own!

FFR's objective is to enforce and educate the public about the importance of TNR, or trap-neuter-return. We trap, spay or neuter, and then return ferals back to their colonies as an alternative to euthanasia. These cats are given combo tests to determine their health level then given vaccinations and are returned to their colonies if deemed healthy. All colonies are given a dedicated caretaker to feed and monitor them. Any sick cat is quickly re-trapped.

Adoption Policy

WE DO NOT HOLD MEET AND GREETS!

All kittens are in foster homes and we are 100% foster based. Due to potential adopters failing to make their scheduled appointments, we have stopped meet and greets completely! Getting multiple kittens together from foster homes can be difficult and stressful on them. We have found it is not worth the added stress when potential adopters do no show up or choose to not adopt.

Our adoption fees for adult cats and kittens varies by breed and age, which includes: spay/neuter, combo test for Feline Leukemia/FIV, up-to-date on required vaccinations, microchip, fecal and worming, flea treatment, and clean vet check.

Our adoption fees for adult dogs and puppies varies by breed and age, which includes: spay/neuter, heartworm test and preventative, up-to-date on required vaccinations, microchipped, wormed and flea treated.

Our adoption process is very easy with a simple application to be filled out that helps us screen for long-term homes and ensure the cat/dog is a good fit for your family. Our application can be emailed or downloaded from our Petfinder homepage. Once we receive the application it will be reviewed and someone from our organization will contact you within 24 to 48 hours.
