Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue (SBAR) is a local 501c3 non-profit rescue in Shreveport, LA dedicated to improving the lives of homeless and unwanted cats. We provide shelter and medical care while we find loving and responsible homes for the cats at our rescue. We are run by volunteers and funded by donors.
Adoption Policy
Start by completing our adoption application. Applications can be submitted to our email - info@shreveportbossieranimalrescue.org - messaged to our Facebook page, or dropped off at our shelter.
If you have current/previous pets, we check with your veterinarian to ensure that they receive appropriate care. We can also recommend a veterinarian if you are a new pet owner.
If you rent, we need confirmation from your landlord that pets are allowed in your home.
While we don't do same-day adoptions, our application process is quick and you should hear from one of our adoption volunteers within a day. When your application is approved, we will schedule a pick-up time for your new kitty!
